Barley bellringers Carolyn and Rod Eastman organised a quiz in the Barley Town House on 10th October to raise much-needed funds for Saint Margaret of Antioch church.
The evening was a great success with over seventy people organised into 10 teams battling for the beautiful bell-shaped trophy. After much head-scratching and memory-delving, the local tennis club team, ‘Double Fault’ emerged as the winning team in what turned out to be a tight contest. Congratulations to them and thanks to everyone who turned up for making it such an enjoyable night and helping us raise over £700.

November 8, 2009School visit
November 8, 2009The children from Barley First School paid us a visit last month to watch the bells being rung. They are used to hearing the bells from the school playground and were fascinated to see how the sound is made.
They were equally enthralled by a model bell, made by local craftsman Tim Drury, who is a husband of one of our ringers.
